Though Liverpool broke the Premier League record for a single transfer window spend, savvy sales mean their accounts are £33 million better off than Arsenal.
With nine players signed for the first-team squad and the British transfer record broken twice, Liverpool dominated the summer transfer window.
Their spend of £446 million – boosted slightly more if you include the £200,000 for young striker Will Wright – is more than any club has ever spent in a single window in the history of the English top flight.
However, Liverpool’s spending is offset by outstanding business in terms of sales, including big-money deals for Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah and Ben Doak.
It means their net spend for the 2025 summer transfer window is £33 million lower than Arsenal‘s.
Liverpool’s £216 million brought in through sales is over double that of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Man City combined.
