Arsenal’s Naomi Williams has joined Bristol City on a season-long loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The 20-year-old goalkeeper will continue her development with the WSL 2 side.
Williams has been with Arsenal since the age of 13, progressing through the youth ranks before signing her first professional contract in 2023. Over the past two seasons, she has regularly featured in senior matchday squads, gaining valuable experience around the first team.
On joining City, **Williams said**: “It feels amazing to be out on my first loan and to be here at Bristol City and to be a part of something great is exciting. The fans are amazing and I’m excited to get out on the pitch and see the fans there!”
**Head Coach Charlotte Healy** added: “Naomi has spent several years in Arsenal’s first team squad, so this will be a valuable first loan for her. It’s important to have strength in depth and competition across the squad so we’re all excited to have her here with us joining Fran and Emily in our GK Department.”
Bristol City are building a strong squad as they target promotion back to the [WSL](https://womenfootball.blog/womens-super-league-table-standings/) in 2025/26. The club has secured several players on loan from top-flight sides, most recently Olivia Johnson, who arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 19-year-old forward made her debut for the Seagulls in March 2023 and recorded five appearances last season.
Bristol City have also announced the loan signing of Jess Ziu from West Ham United, following the arrival of her teammate Camila Sáez. Ziu, a midfielder, becomes the club’s tenth summer addition. She came through the youth system at Shelbourne FC, making 70 appearances before joining West Ham in 2022. Since then, she has featured 23 times, with her progress interrupted by an ACL injury.
Defender Camila Sáez, 30, has also joined on a season-long loan from West Ham. A vastly experienced centre-back, she has earned more than 100 caps for Chile and represented her country at both the 2019 World Cup and the 2023 Pan American Games.
