Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The 2025 edition of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli will start with a Week 1 Minnesota Vikings-Chicago Bears matchup, ESPN announced Tuesday.
ESPN2 will broadcast the dozen matchups, starting with Vikings-Bears, which will air Monday from Chicago. All episodes from the fifth season of the alternate telecast, produced with Omaha Productions, will air just after 8 p.m. EDT.
The regular Monday Night Football broadcasts air on ESPN, and ABC plans to simulcast 10 of those games.
The first four seasons of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli drew an average audience of 1.3 million viewers per show. The ESPN broadcasts averaged 15 million viewers in 2024.
ESPN did not announce a planned Week 2 Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli broadcast. The telecast will return in Week 3, when Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens host the Detroit Lions on Sept. 22 in Baltimore.
Another episode will air during a Jacksonville Jaguars-Kansas City Chiefs matchup on Oct. 6 in Jacksonville, Fla. Additional episodes will air consecutively from Week 8 through Week 13.
The Mannings will return for a Week 15 game between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 14. They also will participate in a Week 18 doubleheader matchup on Jan. 3 and a Jan. 12 wild card playoff game telecast.
