The college football season is well underway and fans were watching Bill Belichick's, 73, University of North Carolina coaching debut like hawks. The game marked his first at the collegiate coaching level after spending 24 seasons with the New England Patriots where he claimed eight Super Bowl titles.
Fans couldn't help but notice his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, chatting with him on the sidelines during the game, where she was spotted wearing the team's signature colors in a white tank top and iridescent blue pants. The pair met in 2021 and went public in October of 2024, months before Belichick signed on as the new head coach of the Tar Heels in December 2024.

The moment is going viral as fans were left speculating why he was conversing with her mid-game. It's just the latest in a string of controversies and speculation surrounding Hudson's involvement with the school's athletic department.
According to Us Weekly, journalist Pablo Torreclaimed on his podcast that Hudson was "no longer allowed in the football building, she is not allowed on the football field." However the University of North Carolina debunked the claim with an official statement saying:
"While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities," Carolina Athletics said in a statement to Us Weekly. "Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick's personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University."
Leaked Emails Revealed Why Jordon Hudson Was Involved With Bill Belichick's Controversial Interview
In June 2025, emails reportedly sent from Belichick to UNC officials around how he planned to navigate the fallout from his controversial CBS interview that was meant to promote his book The Art Of Winning revealed why Hudson, who is also his personal media manager, was in attendance in the first place.
"Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship," he reportedly wrote in an email. "This is not a secret. Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests (E.G. CBS 60 Minutes) to her. Jordon has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it."
The interview infamously took a turn when Hudson shut down questions about their controversial significant age-gap relationship. In May of 2025, he assured Good Morning America host Michael Strahan he was very "happy" in his relationship.
"Well, we have a good personal relationship. And I'm not talking about personal relationships, Michael, you know that," Belichick reportedly said according to WRAL. "She's been terrific, through the whole process. And she's been very helpful to me... She does the business things that don't relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football. And that's really what I want to do.
"I acknowledged her in the book," he went on to say. "She was very helpful on that with the tribute pages, and also gave a perspective of the book from kind of a business side. Sometimes I get a little football technical and so she did a good job of keeping me on balance there."
The Tar Heels lost Belichick's debut game against the TCU Horned Frogs 48 to 14.
