Insider Reveals Injury Update On Justin Jefferson

The Minnesota Vikings need to be extremely careful with their franchise player.

That’s why Justin Jefferson‘s name might be on the injury report more often than not this season.

The Vikings reportedly will err on the side of caution with the wide receiver’s hamstring injury, as it could be a lingering issue.

“Vikings WR Justin Jefferson’s hamstring isn’t expected to affect his play, but could require ‘long-term maintenance’ in practice, Ben Goessling stated,” VikingzFanPage wrote on X.

Jefferson missed time in training camp but was never expected to miss the season opener. However, this is a worrisome report.

Soft-tissue injuries are tricky and tend to last, so the Vikings need to ensure that Jefferson isn’t forcing things or rushing his way back on the field.

Playing under these conditions is far from ideal, and perhaps the Vikings might reconsider their plan and keep him out for a little longer.

Then again, not having him could severely hamper their ability to compete at a high level, especially early in the season, as fellow wideout Jordan Addison serves a three-game NFL suspension.

The Vikings need Jefferson out there to make J.J. McCarthy’s job easier in his first year as their starting quarterback.

He’s one of the most dominant pass catchers in the game, and it would be a shame to see him miss time.

Yet, they should take a long-term approach with their superstar.
