Gerald McCoy Warns Eagles Fans: Here Come The Bucs
September 3rd, 2025
GMC believes in the Bucs.
Former Bucs Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is not ashamed or shy one bit about being out and in the open as being one of the most visible Bucs fans in the national media.
Yes, Joe typed “national media.” That’s because GMC works for NFL Network. And GMC is pretty good at his job, too. Eloquent. Well-thought-out takes. Good insight. Solid analysis.
GMC has also let it be known if any team is going to take down the Super Bowl champion Eagles this year, it isn’t the Commandos and it isn’t the Rams or the Packers or the Lions.
It is the Bucs. On Tuesday, GMC went on NFL Network and called out the Eagles.
Be careful, GMC said. Here come the Bucs!
And Joe thinks GMC is right. The Bucs are a bad matchup for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts is 1-4 in his career facing a Todd Bowles defense. And the Eagles currently have a two-game losing streak to the Bucs.
Two years ago, the Bucs slapped around Philadelphia so badly and Vita Vea beat up Jason Kelce so much, Vea and the Bucs drove Kelce into retirement by pounding the Eagles in the playoffs.
And then last year, the Bucs slapped around the Eagles in the regular season.
(Stop with the “But Joe, the Eagles were without their two best receivers.” So what! Were the Bucs supposed to lay down for the Eagles then? Were the Bucs supposed to bench Mike Evans and Chris Godwin because Philadelphia was short-handed?)
So beware Eagles. The Bucs are lurking.
Who is the biggest threat to the Eagles in 2025?
The answer is obvious to @Geraldini93 😉 pic.twitter.com/mxoqtCVz8x
