Leandro Trossard’s second half goal earned Arsenal a crucial 1-0 victory over London rivals Fulham on Saturday.
The Belgian netted his first Premier League goal of the season so far to earn all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side, who remain top of the Premier League table.
Having finished second in each of the past three league seasons, the Gunners will be desperate to go one better this time around.
Off the pitch, however, it appears that Arsenal are set to battle it out with one of their fiercest rivals for the signing of a young Frenchman.
According to CaughtOffside, both Arsenal and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Saint-Etienne star Djylian N’Guessan.
It is claimed that the two Premier League sides are both keeping tabs on the 17-year-old striker.

N’Guessan is a product of Saint-Etienne’s youth system and has now played eight times for the club at senior level, having made his debut on the opening day of last season.
Despite his impressive performances, the Frenchman is yet to score a senior goal for Saint-Etienne.
According to the report, fellow Premier League sides Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Brentford have all also scouted the young forward, while Championship outfit Watford have also sent scouts to watch the teenager in action.
N’Guessan is contracted to his boyhood club until the end of the 2026/27 season, but the report suggests that the Ligue 2 side could face a battle to keep hold of the player with several top Premier League sides showing significant interest in the striker.
At international level, N’Guessan has scored prolifically for France at several age group levels, and is now a regular for France Under-20s.
