**Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was quick to praise Leandro Trossard following his winner against Fulham at the weekend.**
The Belgian international has not always been a regular starter for the Gunners, but [**Arteta**](https://goonernews.com/blog/mikel-arteta-ethan-nwaneri-martin-odegaard-chelsea-opinion/) says Trossard does have the knack of picking up big goals:
“He has this quality to create these magic moments when the team needs it the most and that intuition and he’s in the right place in the right moment and that’s a huge quality for the team and a massive weapon for us.”
“So, I’m really happy. I think he’s been very, very good in recent weeks and now we have a lot of players in a really high emotional state and performance level, which is really good to see.”

Despite not always being a regular starter for Arsenal, the 30-year-old has now been named in the first eleven for five of the last six games in all competitions.
Trossard’s goal and assist in the victory against Athletic Club after coming on as a substitute precipitated this run of starts, and it has meant that the likes of Gabriel Martinelli have had to be satisfied with a place on the bench.

Trossard did sign a new deal back in the August, but it only improved his salary, rather than extending his stay at the Emirates beyond the summer of 2027.
It means that the Gunners will have an important decision to make on his future in the New Year. He is certainly not getting any younger, and many will feel that an upgrade could be found for him.
Arteta is undoubtedly pleased by what Trossard is producing at the moment, and his future beyond this season may depend on his performances over the coming weeks and months.
