After disposing of local rivals Fulham 1-0 this weekend, [Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/) have now won five straight games, and Liverpool’s big slip up against their big rivals Manchester United has ensured that the Gunners stand alone at the top of the Premier League.
They will be tested a bit more, though, tomorrow night against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, but you wouldn’t bet against the Gunners being the favorites in this one.
And they could get a nifty boost, too. Piero Hincapie is one of the big signings Arsenal made this past summer transfer window and is one of the most promising and athletic young defenders in world football, wanted by virtually everyone in the Premier League before years until ultimately picking the Gunners.
Hincapie was seen practicing in full with the rest of his teammates on Monday before the big Champions League tilt, and now Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed to reporters that the 23-year-old Ecuadorian international will be available.
Furthermore, enhancing the chances of Hincapie actually playing (for more than the literal minute on the pitch against fellow La Liga Champions League side Atheltic Club) is Arteta’s statement that Hincapie only just missed out on returning against Fulham at the weekend.
