Gabriel Jesus is reportedly closing in on a return that could provide Arsenal with a timely boost in their Premier League title pursuit.
According toThe Mirror’s John Cross, the Brazilian striker is targeting a return to full training and possibly first-team action by December. The 28-year-old has been sidelined since suffering an ACL injury during Arsenal’s FA Cup tie against Manchester United in January, a major setback in what has been a frustrating run of injuries since the 2022 World Cup.
Despite the long layoff, Jesus has impressed Arsenal’s medical team with his determination and attitude throughout rehabilitation. He has already resumed light sessions on the grass, though he has yet to rejoin full training. Club sources say he remains highly motivated to return stronger and play a major role in the second half of the campaign.

Meanwhile, fellow forward Kai Havertz is also progressing well after undergoing knee surgery following an injury sustained against Manchester United on the opening weekend of the season. Though the German international hasn’t yet been seen training with the full squad, he is expected to be back within weeks and could return to action next month.
Havertz’s recovery has mirrored his impressive comeback from a hamstring injury last season, when he stunned medical staff with his relentless drive to return ahead of schedule, an effort he appears to be replicating this time around.

Elsewhere, captain Martin Odegaard and winger Noni Madueke remain on the injury list. Both are expected to be sidelined until after the next international break.
Providing an update on Madueke’s progress, Mikel Arteta said: “He’s getting closer as well. He’s going to start very soon to do some running and stuff, and then again, let’s see how that reacts.”
Arsenal will be hoping to have their full attacking lineup fit again as they head into the busy winter period, with the return of Jesus and Havertz set to provide a crucial lift to their squad depth and attacking options.
