Arsenal enjoyed a night to remember in the Champions League as the Gunners swept aside Atletico Madrid 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
All four goals came in the second half, with Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and a Viktor Gyokeres brace making the difference as Diego Simeone’s side were left stunned in North London.
It was the night Gyokeres truly announced himself to the Arsenal faithful – but it was also a superb all-round team performance.

Gabriel Martinelli sends message to Gabriel Magalhaes
After the game, Brazilian centre-back and goalscorer Gabriel took to Instagram to share his delight with supporters, writing: “Nights like these at Emirates. Thank you God!”
His comments were quickly flooded with messages from adoring fans, teammates, and fellow players. Among them was Martinelli, who replied: “Complete boss.”
Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, and Declan Rice were also among those showing their appreciation for the defender’s display.
Gabriel has been immense this season, and that was no different against Simeone’s side.
