Arsenal beat Atlético Madrid 4-0 on Tuesday evening in an impressive victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Diego Simeone was once the master of marginal gains during play, and out of it, especially in the Champions League. In recent years, other clubs have caught up with the Argentine’s tactics, and Arsenal are one of those.
But it wasn’t just a disciplined display from the Gunners, as the 4-0 victory shows.
As it stands, Arsenal have a three point cushion at the top of the Premier League. They’re four points ahead of last season’s champions Liverpool and things are also going well in Europe.
There were multiple changes at the London club in the summer, and one of those saw a new coach arrive to join Arteta’s backroom team.
At the time of his appointment in July, the Argentine media suggested Heinze could further improve the defensive approach for Arsenal.

Ole quote the goalkeeper as saying: _“It’s showing; today we kept another clean sheet. It’s very important for us._
_“What does Heinze offer us? He’s been talking badly for a long time. He pushes us hard; he only wants the best for the group, especially defensively. He gives us a lot of energy, and tells us where we can be hurt in each match.”_
