Arsenal enjoyed one of their best nights at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday as Mikel Arteta oversaw an utterly convincing 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish giants – widely regarded as a solid defensive unit under Diego Simeone – were torn apart as Arsenal remarkably netted four goals in just 13 minutes of second half action.

It was potentially the loudest the Emirates Stadium has been all season – but the Gunners have now made a change they hope will increase the volume even more.
Arsenal decide to stop screening the match in the concourse
Arsenal have now opted not to show the game live on television screens in the Emirates Stadium concourse – as revealed by Arsenal supporter Dylan White on X (previously known as Twitter).
Previously, the Gunners would screen live footage of the second half for supporters to watch in the concourse while they finish up their half-time beverages, which of course lessens the need for a fan to rush back to their seat.
During the interval against Atletico Madrid, a message on a screen read: “We won’t be showing the second half of tonight’s match live on screen. Every supporter has a role to play. Please head to your seat to watch the game to help create an unforgettable atmosphere.”
I like this.
Gonna do nothing realistically but shows the club are aware and actively doing what they can to work on improving the atmosphere pic.twitter.com/5Vma1uBDbn

It might only make a minor difference to the volume levels, but it just goes to show that Arsenal – who Simeone praised – are conscious of making the Emirates Stadium as intimidating as possible for opponents.
In our view, showing the second half of matches in the concourse in the first place sent out the wrong message to fans – that they do not have to be involved in the atmosphere – and should never have been an option anyway.
Mikel Arteta must ensure Arsenal avoid repeat of embarrassing moment from last season
When Arsenal reach the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League this term – which seems practically guaranteed if they maintain this stunning form – Arteta needs to make sure a better display is arranged.
Arsenal became a laughing stock last season ahead of the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG after displaying a very basic tifo, overriding several intriguing fan designs in favour of a generic image of a cannon.

It did not exactly set the tone Arteta would have wanted ahead of a crucial game, and did little to send out a ferocious message to the Parisians too, so a repeat of this must be avoided.
