Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has offered Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta some timely advice on maintaining dressing room discipline and focus following the Gunners’ emphatic 4–0 victory over Atletico Madrid.

Speaking after the Champions League triumph, Seedorf cautioned that Arsenal must guard against complacency, warning that external distractions could derail their impressive momentum.

“We want them to win now, right? We want them to get to that point where they can win,” Seedorf told TNT Sports. “I think they are analysing things too much, and there are always these things around. For the team, the challenge for them and Arteta is to keep that noise out of the changing room.”

The Dutch legend praised Arsenal’s current form, highlighting the importance of Arteta’s leadership in keeping his players grounded as they sit three points clear at the top of the Premier League and remain unbeaten in the Champions League.

Seedorf also singled out striker Viktor Gyokeres for special praise after his brace against Atletico, acknowledging the Swede’s growing influence beyond his goal-scoring exploits.

“I think you have created that, because strikers, everybody expects them to score,” he said. “You didn’t score that much in this period, but all the other stuff that you’ve been doing for the team and making players better has created this reaction.”

He further lauded Gabriel Martinelli’s electric performance, adding, “Martinelli today was on fire.”

Arsenal’s commanding form across all competitions has reignited hopes of ending their long wait for major silverware. And it seems Seedorf’s concerns echo those of Arteta himself, who has repeatedly stressed the importance of focus and internal motivation.

“The only thing that I embrace is when I see the team, the energy, the temperature, the commitment, and the quality that they can deliver, it gives me that conviction that we can go all the way,” Arteta said earlier this week.
