My WORD I’m still feeling pretty fine 24 hours later. What a win. The best of The Emirates era? Not far off, my friends. Not far off at all.
Atletico are one of the best sides in the world, one of the most consistent performers on the biggest stage. They are outrageous defensively, world-class at defending set pieces, and emotionally draining on so many levels.
We battered them.
That moment felt consequential. A real “where were you when The Arsenal showed they are the best?” kind of moment. I still can’t believe the brutality, the control, the variety, the tactical nuance all over the pitch — the total dominance from start to finish.
Exceptional.
