‘I Feel Like A Child Again’–£45m Arsenal Star Hints At Major Positive Injury Boost On Instagram

An Arsenal star has provided a major injury update on his Instagram account, which could be a massive boost for the Gunners.

Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table, three points clear of Manchester City in second place. They look to be one step ahead of Liverpool and City this season, especially compared to last year when they had a lot of injury issues.

Mikel Arteta spent most of the season with just one fit striker, Kai Havertz, and even when the German got injured, he had to play Mikel Merino up front. This season, Viktor Gyokeres has taken the striker role, but he has no competition due to Havertz and Gabriel Jesus both being injured.

Jesus has been injured since January with a major ACL issue. He had to undergo surgery, and has been in rehabilitation every since. But, the Brazilian is now training again in a limited capacity, meaning he’s closer to coming back.

Jesus provides injury update on Instagram

Amid his long-term recovery, Jesus has been posting his progress on Instagram. He posted a reel last month of him back in training, expressing just how happy he was to be playing again after such a serious injury.

He said: “It’s been seven months of pain, uncertainty, and anxiety. Today, I finally feel light — like a child playing football again. GOD IS GREAT.”

Furthermore, on Thursday morning, Jesus also posted to his Instagram story with a video of him scoring a header in training. He captioned the post “last push” potentially indicating that he could be back before the new year.

It was initially feared that Jesus would be out until January, but his good progress potentially means he will come back before Christmas, which would be a huge boost for Arsenal.

Arsenal could sell Jesus in the January window

For all that sounds positive for Jesus’ Arsenal career amid his recovery, reports have suggested that Arsenal could sell the 28-year-old in the January transfer window, as he will be the third-choice striker when he returns.

Clubs in Brazil are reportedly keen on Jesus, although it is understood that the former Man City star would rather stay in Europe, and move back to Brazil to end his career instead.

Arsenal paid £45m for Jesus, but if they were to sell him in January, they would likely get a small chunk of that back as his current estimated market value is set at around £22m.
