Arsenal player rubbishes exit claims – Not going anywhere, wants Gunners trophies

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has finally spoken out amid growing speculation linking him with a move back to Brazil. His words leave little doubt about where he wants to be.

Over the past few weeks, the 28-year-old has been linked to different Brazilian clubs: Palmeiras, Flamengo and, more recently, [**Grêmio**](https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal-rumour-exposed-by-false-detail-transfer-claims-falls-apart-under-scrutiny/). Yet, in an exclusive interview with [**Placar magazine**](https://placar.com.br/entrevista/gabriel-jesus-jura-lealdade-ao-palmeiras-mas-quer-seguir-no-arsenal/), Jesus made it clear that none of those stories reflect reality.

#### Fully focused on Arsenal

The striker hasn’t played since January after suffering a serious knee injury in the derby against Manchester United. Now in the final phase of recovery, he said he’s focused on returning to form and winning trophies for Arsenal, not negotiating exits.

_“My main focus is to come back and come back well,”_ he said. _“Every day, the coach and the board tell me they’re looking forward to my return. I don’t see myself outside the club’s plans. I have a contract until 2027, and that’s where I’ll be.”_

#### The Brazilian connection

However, his affection for his former club Palmeiras remains evident. Perhaps that’s what keeps fuelling speculation.

_“The interest from Palmeiras will always exist, both from them and from me,”_ he admitted. _“But there’s been nothing formal. It’s just the natural interest of a kid who came from their academy and dreams of going back one day.”_

He also shut down the idea of playing for any other club in Brazil, saying his heart belongs only to Palmeiras.

Those comments effectively end any talk of a return home in the near future. Jesus is entering his ninth year in English football and appears determined to make it a full decade.

#### Playing abroad

While his time at Arsenal has been marked by injuries, the forward insists he’s motivated to fight for his place even after the arrivals of Eze and Gyökeres this summer.

The Brazilian also spoke about the possibility of playing in other countries but dismissed any change at this stage of his career.

_“I watch a lot of La Liga and Serie A matches, and I think both leagues have beautiful football,”_ he said. _“Of course, it makes you curious to experience it one day, but my wish is to win titles with Arsenal.”_

In short, while some fans in Brazil may still dream of his comeback, Jesus has his eyes firmly set on North London. The rumour mill can say what it wants, but unless Arteta decides otherwise, Gabriel Jesus isn’t going anywhere soon.
