Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Preview, Prediction&Lineups

**Arsenal are back in Premier League action as they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon for their third consecutive London derby.**

The Gunners are on a brilliant run of winning form after beating fellow capital rivals West Ham and Fulham 2-0 and 1-0 respectively and were the dominant victors in their last game. Mikel Arteta oversaw a 4-0 win against Atlético Madrid to make it three wins from three in the Champions League. A 14 minute rampage saw Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyökeres (twice) secure the three points with ease.

Crystal Palace's winning start to their European campaign was ended by AEK Larnaca as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park last time out. The Eagles did rescue a point in their previous league game however, with a heroic Jean-Philippe Mateta hat-trick ensuring a meeting with Bournemouth ended 3-3.

As Arsenal look to extend their lead at the top of the table, they come up against a Crystal Palace side desperate to find a win after going three games without one. It'll certainly be an interesting clash at the Emirates.

### Arsenal team news

Mikel Arteta has a fresh injury concern heading into this game with Gabriel Magalhaes a doubt to feature. The Brazilian limped off during the win over Atlético and Cristhian Mosquera could return to the backline as a result.

Piero Hincapié could have some involvement, but with his match fitness still at a serious low, it's unlikely he will be named as a starter against the Eagles. He could be brought off the bench to make his Premier League debut though.

Other than the expected absence of Gabriel, Arsenal have a fully fit squad heading into the matchup with Palace. Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Martin Ødegaard remain unavailable due to long-term injuries.

_**Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Crystal Palace:**_ _Raya; Timber, Saliba, Mosquera, Calafiori; Eze, Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Gyökeres, Martinelli_

### Crystal Palace team news

Oliver Glasner has no new injuries to worry about as it remains the same on the fitness front for Palace ahead of their trip to the Emirates.

Caleb Kporha, Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad are all still absent and will no doubt be unavailable for selection for this game.

Chris Richards will likely return to the starting lineup in place of Jaydee Canvot after the Frenchman's poor back pass led to Larnaca's winner in the Conference League.

_**Predicted Crystal Palace lineup vs Arsenal:**_ _Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Pino, Sarr; Mateta_

### Arsenal vs Crystal Palace score prediction

Arsenal will be hoping this is another straightforward victory, but that is unlikely to be the case. Palace will be eager to return to end their three-game winless streak, having previously gone 18 matches unbeaten.

The Eagles have caused the Gunners problems before, taking a point from this fixture last season when they pounced on mistakes by the hosts to draw 2-2 at the Emirates in April.

However, Arteta will be hoping his side can overcome another tough test as they aim to extend their lead at the top of the table. Boasting the far stronger squad and in much better form, Arsenal should be taking the three points from this one, but it may not be a pretty affair.

### Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace
