A supercomputer has backed Arsenal to finally win the Premier League title this season but its forecast doesn’t quite align with Gary Neville’s prediction on how many points will be required to secure it.
The Gunners enjoyed a perfect weekend, edging Crystal Palace 1–0 while rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea all suffered defeats. That victory saw Mikel Arteta’s men open up a four-point lead at the top of the table ahead of Bournemouth, with seven wins from nine games and just three goals conceded.
Arsenal now sit six points clear of City, seven ahead of Liverpool, and eight in front of Chelsea, strengthening their case as early title favourites.
Many pundits including Neville believe this could finally be Arsenal’s year. The former Manchester United defender has been backing the north London side for several seasons and believes their consistency, rather than perfection, will be key.

“This is the fourth season on the bounce that I’ve had them to win the league,” Neville said on his podcast. “They’re not necessarily miles better, they’re repeating their levels of consistency, and that’s all they’re going to have to do this year to win the league.
“They’re not going to have to go and get 100 points, they’re not going to have to get even 90 or 95 points to win the league, mid-80s, high 80s will win them this title, and they can do that.

“Other teams [are being] inconsistent and unreliable, that’s not this Arsenal team. They’re very reliable. You can trust them. The way in which they defend is fantastic. They’re all around each other. They don’t concede goals.”
Arteta’s men have come agonisingly close in recent seasons, finishing second to Manchester City three years in a row. Their tallies of 84 points in 2022/23 and 89 in 2023/24 would have won the title in most campaigns.

But according toAceodds’ supercomputer, BETSiE, Arsenal might not even need to reach those heights this term. The model predicts that the Gunners will win the 2025/26 Premier League with around 82 points, leaving Liverpool roughly seven points behind in second place.
Manchester City and Chelsea are expected to finish further back, while Manchester United are tipped to narrowly miss out on the top four, ahead of Newcastle and Tottenham.
At the bottom, the forecast suggests West Ham, Wolves, and Burnley could face relegation, while early-season surprise package Sunderland, currently sitting fourth, are expected to fall to 15th by the end of the campaign.
Arsenal’s next challenge is a Carabao Cup showdown with Brighton on Wednesday night, before turning their focus back to league duty with a trip to Burnley at the weekend.
