Congratulations to Arsenal for a well-played, hard-fought match v Crystal Palace on Sunday. Now with first place locked-up for the time being, the focus turns to a mid-week clash in the League Cup 4th Round v Brighton and Hove Albion.
This will mark Arsenal’s 250th League Cup match.
The team has been riding high with 11 wins in 13 total matches, however, Mikel Arteta’s list of players on the injured list keeps growing. Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba have all been added following last weekend’s game.
With that said, there is some good news. The Gunners squad depth is enough to cover Wednesday’s match, however, further injuries would begin to have a serious impact on the club.
Here is my predicted starting XI for the League Cup match this week…
[4-3-3]
Eze, Gyokeres, Saka
Merino, Nwaneri, Norgaard
Lewis-Skelly, Mosquera, Gabriel, White
Kepa
Predicted final score: ARSENAL 2 – Bright and Holve Albion 0
