Shining light: Eberechi Eze
Arsenal Football Newsletter
Mikel Arteta’s side are sat top of the Premier League after seven wins on the bounce in all competitions.
Last time out, they eked past Crystal Palace thanks to Eberechi Eze’s wonderstrike against his former side, as the England international scored his first Premier League goal for his new club.
Before that, they had thrashed Atletico Madrid 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium, and downed Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage thanks to Leandro Trossard’s winner.
Brighton, meanwhile, are 13th in the table, with three wins, three draws, and three defeats from their first nine games.
They were beaten 4-2 by Manchester United in their previous outing, with Bryan Mbeumo’s late goal ending any last hopes of a famous comeback at Old Trafford after Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas had got the Seagulls to within one in the dying embers.
Now, they switch their attention to the League Cup, where they travel to north London in a bid to reach the quarter-finals.
