**Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has said Tino Livramento won’t be available for selection until after the November international break.**
The fullback suffered knee ligament damage after falling awkwardly during the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last month. Asked whether Livramento could make his return to action soon, Howe said that the player will be sidelined for a while longer:
“I don’t think we can bring that forward two weeks. You are looking at the Man City game for him as a pencilled-in date.”
“Hopefully, he can be available for that. He is doing well, really good, and there are no adverse reactions to his injuries.”
When will Newcastle face Man City?
----------------------------------
The Magpies host the Cityzens at St James’ Park on Saturday, 22nd November. With it being an evening kickoff, it will give some of the club’s international players a bit more time to recover than if it had been played at lunchtime or 3 PM.
For Livramento, he won’t have made a first-team appearance for nearly two months when the City fixture comes around, so the best that fans can probably hope for is that the defender makes the bench for that fixture. Howe won’t want to risk one of his best players picking up another injury, so they will need to be cautious about his return.
How many more games will Livramento miss?
-----------------------------------------
The 22-year-old won’t be available for the Carabao Cup fourth round tie against Tottenham on Wednesday night, the league fixtures versus West Ham (a) and Brentford (a) and the Champions League match against Athletic Club next week.
Livramento has already been ruled out for five games – the wins over Union Saint-Gilloise and Benfica in Europe, as well as the Premier League clashes against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and [**Fulham**](https://newcastleunitednews.org/blog/newcastle-united-transfer-news-josh-king/).
