Carabao Cup: Arsenal vs Brighton at the Emirates Stadium

Brighton fans have had travel issues as they head to North London to watch Albion in Carabao Cup fourth round action at Arsenal.

Many fans will struggle to make it in time for the 7.45pm kick-off at the Emirates Stadium as Southern Rail confirmed disruptions after a person was struck by a train, impacting the main Brighton to London rail services.

Southern Rail posted: “ We're very sorry to advise that a person has been hit by a train between Haywards Heath and Three Bridges.

“All lines are currently blocked We're working with Network Rail and the emergency services to deal with this incident as sensitively, quickly and safely as possible.

“We'd like to thank you for bearing with us ”

Brighton have encouraged fans who are unable to make it to Arsenal to watch the game at The Terrace instead.

The club posted: “We’re aware that major disruption on the main Brighton-London train line may prevent Albion fans from getting to tonight’s Carabao Cup tie.

“If you’re unable to travel but want to join us in The Terrace instead, simply head to the Amex and show your Arsenal digital ticket.”
