Arsenal vs Burnley Injury News: 7 Players Ruled Out With 2 In Doubt

Arsenal make the trip to the North West this weekend as they face newly-promoted side Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners are in a brilliant spell of form, having won their last seven games in all competitions. Mikel Arteta’s side sit atop the Premier League table, clear by four points over Bournemouth in second place.

Furthermore, they also managed to progress in the Carabao Cup during the week, as they beat Brighton 2-0 to get to the quarter-final stages of the competition. They will hope for more of the same against a Burnley side who have won their last two games against Leeds United and Wolves.

There have been seven players ruled out ahead of the game at Turf Moor on Saturday, and two players are in doubt…

Burnley injury news

For the Clarets, they will be missing three players on Saturday due to injury problems, none of which are close to making a return.

Firstly, Zeki Amdouni is dealing with a long-term knee injury which is set to keep him out of action until April. It is an ACL injury which required surgery in the summer, and he is currently in rehabilitation.

Furthermore, defender Conor Roberts will also miss the game on Saturday as he continues to deal with a knee injury. Scott Parker recently confirmed his absence, suggesting that he suffered a set-back in his recovery.

He said: “He’s had a little bit of a setback; he’ll be a little longer now. It’s probably looking [like] a few months for Connor, which is not ideal and a big setback for us.”

Finally, Jordan Beyer is also out as he is dealing with a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out until the start of the New Year.

Arsenal injury news

The Gunners will be without four players for the game on Saturday, with two more names in doubt. In terms of definite outs, Gabriel Jesus continues to recover from his ACL injury, but is back in training in some limited capacity.

Furthermore, Kai Havertz is still out with a knee issue, and on a similar time line to Martin Odegaard, with the pair expected to be out until after the November international break. Noni Madueke is also looking at a November return, as he continues to recover from his knee injury too.

William Saliba is a doubt for the game against Burnley after he picked up a knock against Crystal Palace at the weekend. He could be rested, handing the likes of either Cristhian Mosquera or Piero Hincapie the chance to start.

Furthermore, Gabriel Martinelli is also a doubt for the game, as he picked up a knock against Palace too. He wasn’t available against Brighton, and may find himself rested in favour of Leandro Trossard too.
