Arsenal have etched their name into English football history after becoming the first top-flight club ever to win six matches in a single calendar month without conceding a goal, according to data from Opta.

The Gunners capped off a flawless October with a commanding 2–0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup, completing a remarkable run that showcased both their defensive solidity and tactical balance.

The month’s victories came against Olympiacos, West Ham United, Fulham, Atletico Madrid, Crystal Palace, and Brighton, all achieved without a single goal breaching their net.

The historic streak highlights Arsenal’s growing dominance across competitions, as Mikel Arteta’s men continue to combine discipline at the back with clinical efficiency in attack.

Their performances have also strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League table, reinforcing their credentials as genuine contenders for both domestic and European honours.

Speaking after the win at the Emirates, Arteta credited the team’s unity and depth for sustaining such a high level of consistency.

“It’s going to make us stronger because, again, the easy thing maybe is to make some changes at that moment. I really believe in them… And after that, now they have a good feeling that they can compete and beat a really good Premier League team,” the Spaniard said.

Arteta also praised the defensive pairing of Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera, who impressed despite playing together for the first time. “They hadn’t played together before,” he noted, emphasising how the squad’s depth allows Arsenal to compete effectively across all fronts.

The Gunners’ performances in October also underline their defensive evolution under Arteta. Despite facing criticism earlier in the season for relying on set-pieces, Arsenal have developed a well-rounded game capable of grinding out results in multiple competitions.

With this record-breaking feat, Arsenal enter November full of confidence and momentum. Their next fixtures will test whether they can sustain this level of excellence as the campaign intensifies.

For now, though, the numbers tell the story of a team that has not only rediscovered its steel but has also set a benchmark no other English side has ever reached, six consecutive wins in a single month, all with clean sheets.
