Ex-Arsenal player names three wingers better than Bukayo Saka as he snubs Vinicius Junior

Former Arsenal player Theo Walcott has picked three wingers ahead of Bukayo Saka, but Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior wasn’t one of them.

Micah Richards was in awe of Saka last week following his performance in the 1-0 win over Fulham.

Lloyd Kelly thinks the Arsenal star is better than Phil Foden, though a case could be made that they play different roles in their respective clubs’ attacks.

Regardless, Saka has been a crucial player for the Gunners for many years now and is among the top wingers in the world, according to Theo Walcott.

Theo Walcott names the wingers better than Bukayo Saka

Speaking on The Overlap US this week, the ex-Arsenal man was asked to name the best current winger in the world using a game of winner stays on.

The host started with Saka and Walcott picked him over a host of players, including Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior:

Michael Olise

Rodrigo

Luis Diaz

Antoine Semenyo

Raphinha

Vinicius Junior

Walcott finally gave a different answer when selecting who was better out of Saka and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

He then chose Lamine Yamal over Salah before selecting Lionel Messi as the best current winger in world football.

Vinicius Jr and Bukayo Saka could go head-to-head soon

While Walcott thinks Saka is better than the Brazilian, the two world-class wingers could face off in the Premier League at some point in the future.

Vinicius Jr released a Real Madrid statement this week on the back of his actions during the weekend’s El Clasico.

He clashed with Barcelona players post-match and was visibly upset when he was taken off late in the game.

TBR Football correspondent Graeme Bailey has previously shared that Real Madrid have told the South American he will leave the club this summer if he does not sign a new deal.

Bailey added that only a handful of teams could afford Vinicius, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
