The Premier League has announced the nominees for the Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards, and Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber and Mikel Arteta are among the top contenders.
Timber has been recognised for his outstanding defensive performances in October, while Arteta’s exceptional leadership has earned him a nomination for Manager of the Month.
Timber’s impressive form in October saw him play a crucial role in Arsenal’s last three clean sheets, helping the team secure the top spot in the Premier League table.

The 24-year-old right-back’s physical strength, technical precision, and ability to win penalties have made him a nightmare for opposition wingers.
He won a penalty against West Ham United, which was converted by Bukayo Saka to seal the win for Arsenal.
Arteta’s side won all three matches in October without conceding a goal, extending their lead at the top of the table.

The Gunners have been in excellent form this season, sitting atop the Premier League table, four points above second-placed Bournemouth, six points above Manchester City, and seven points above defending champions Liverpool.

Arsenal’s strong start to the season continues, with the team having won all six matches in October, including three London derbies against West Ham United, Fulham, and Crystal Palace.
They also advanced to the League Cup quarter-finals and maintained a 100% start in the Champions League.
The team’s defensive solidity has been impressive, with six consecutive clean sheets, their best run since 2009. October’s form means Arsenal are now within touching distance of their all-time best streak of clean sheets, which is eight in a row recorded back in 1903.
The other nominees for the Player of the Month award include Erling Haaland of Manchester City, Bryan Mbeumo of Manchester United, Junior Kroupi of Bournemouth, Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United, Nordi Mukiele of Sunderland, and Igor Thiago of Brentford. Fans can vote for their preferred player until November 3, with the winner to be announced on November 7.
The Premier League Manager of the Month award recognises the top-performing coaches each month, based on both public votes and an expert panel’s assessment. The winner will be determined by combining fan votes with the expert panel’s decision.
