Arsenal have made a scintillating start to the 2025/26 Premier League season. The Gunners find themselves at the top of the table after nine games – but who will their top goalscorers be at the conclusion of the campaign?
We asked ChatGPT to predict Arsenal’s top goalscorers at the end of the season. Of course, this piece is merely speculative – let’s see what ChatGPT came up with after scouring its database.
We asked AI in early August to predict the top Arsenal scorers this season so we can see what has changed.
Martin Odegaard
Not many would predict this, given his current injury woes, but ChatGPT nonetheless believes that Martin Odegaard will be fifth in the Arsenal scoring charts when all is said and done.
It has pegged the Norweigian international to find the back of the net 8-11 times this season. Like all of its answers, ChatGPT did not give an exact figure – rather, it offered a rough estimate. It notes that Odegaard is not a natural goalscorer, describing him as ‘more assist-oriented’. This is certainly true – last year, Odegaard scored just three goals, but racked up eight assists alongside them.
Kai Havertz
Another player who has been out long-term with an injury, ChatGPT expects Kai Havertz to rally upon his return to the first team and score 10-13 goals by the end of the season.
This, like Odegaard’s entry, seems hard to visualise at the moment. Not only is Havertz injured, his position as Gunners striker has been largely usurped by Viktor Gyokeres. With the Swede now being one of the first names on Mikel Arteta’s teamsheet, it’s difficult to see where Havertz will fit in on a consistent basis.
