Mikel Arteta is grateful for Arsenal depth ahead of Burnley

As well as providing an injury update, the Arsenal boss was asked about his team’s newfound depth.

In previous seasons, the Gunners have been unable to match the likes of Manchester City when it comes to a 20-man squad.

In 2025/26, however, Arsenal’s team is the most valuable in the Premier League.

On the increased depth, he said: “Thank God that we have it, we have five or six players out and we have to find solutions and the team remains competitive.”

Andrea Berta summer signings stepping up for Arsenal

Martin Odegaard

Kai Havertz

William Saliba

Noni Madueke

In their absences, however, a number of the stars Berta helped bring to the club in the most recent window have thrived.

Theo Walcott praised the signing of Eberechi Eze, with the midfielder recently scoring the winner against Crystal Palace.

Arteta has admitted to being surprised by how good Martin Zumbamendi has been since arriving in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, while he hasn’t scored a lot of goals, Bukayo Saka has praised Viktor Gyokeres, who has stepped up to lead the line in Havertz’s absence.
