Burnley vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League latest score and confirmed lineups

Arsenal are looking to extend their lead at the summit of the Premier League as they take on Burnley this afternoon.

With Manchester City and Liverpool dropping more points last weekend, the Gunners are now four points clear at the top with their nearest rivals Bournemouth not in action until Sunday.

The Gunners’ rock-solid backline is showing no signs of being breached having conceded just three goals in their nine league matches to date.

Up front however, the pressure is on Viktor Gyokeres to find his scoring touch having not netted in the league since the victory over Nottingham Forest in September.

Arsenal have plenty of firepower elsewhere and will be looking to put the Clarets to the sword this afternoon.

How Arsenal could line up today

Much will depend on whether Saliba has been passed fit but Arsenal are looking extremely formidable across the board even with some key personnel still out.

William Saliba is a doubt ahead of kick-off for the Gunners.

The France international was one of four players forced off against Crystal Palace last week, missing the midweek Carabao Cup win over Brighton. Mikel Arteta was hopeful he would be back in training yesterday afternoon but Cristhian Mosquera is a ready and able replacement if called upon today.

Gabriel Martinelli is ruled out today with Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz also still unavailable.

Nine games into the Premier League season and Arsenal are looking a very solid bet to go all the way.

An impregnable defence, a stacked midfield and depth in attack means even injuries to key personnel this season haven’t been able to derail the Arsenal train.

A tricky test awaits at Turf Moor but another win on the road will open up more daylight at the top for Mikel Arteta’s side.
