Mikel Arteta has refuted the suggestion that Arsenal are unstoppable but the Premier League leaders are in fine form right now.
Arsenal won 2-0 at Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday to cement their place at the summit of the table.
In now customary fashion, Arsenal opened the scoring via a set-piece. Viktor Gyokeres was on hand to nod in from close range after Gabriel headed a corner kick back into the six-yard box. Declan Rice then doubled Arsenal’s advantage before half-time, after heading home from Leandro Trossard’s cross.
Arsenal’s win at Turf Moor was their seventh straight in all competitions without conceding a goal. It’s just the second time in the North London side’s history that Arsenal have achieved that feat, following a seven-game run between September and October 1987.
Next up is a trip to face Slavia Prague in the Champions League, where the Gunners will look to set a new benchmark. Arteta’s side have a perfect record after three European games and are yet to concede in the Champions League this season.
