We extended our winning run in all competitions to three matches with a dominant 4-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Alessia Russo netted the opening goal, finishing off a fine team move, before a Sari Kees own goal and a powerful strike from Stina Blackstenius put us in control heading into the break.
Noemie Mouchon pulled a goal back for Leicester with six minutes to go, but less than a minute after the restart, Blackstenius fired in her second of the game to round off a successful afternoon.
First half
----------
We made a fast start at the King Power Stadium, with Stina Blackstenius running in on goal with 13 seconds on the clock, denied only by Sari Kees' challenge on the edge of the penalty area.
The breakthrough came six minutes later when Beth Mead's cross was knocked down by SBlackstenius and fired into the bottom corner by Alessia Russo.
We had another good opportunity midway through the half when Katie McCabe's powerful cross was almost met by Blackstenius, but the forward couldn't quite get the decisive touch six yards from goal.
Our second goal came just after the half-hour mark when Taylor Hinds sent a long free-kick over the top of the Leicester defence to Russo, whose cross was deflected in off Sari Kees from close range.
Just two minutes later, Blackstenius made it three. After being picked out by Mead, the Sweden international rifled a powerful finish into the near post.
Second half
-----------
We started the second half where we left off in the first and almost had a fourth just three minutes after the break when Mariona teed up Foord, who fired just over the crossbar.
From the goal kick, Leicester countered and played Noemie Mouchon in on goal, but the Foxes striker was denied by a strong save from Daphne van Domselaar.
Blackstenius had a chance to net her brace midway through the second half, but her outstretched effort from a tight angle narrowly missed the post and hit the side netting.
Leicester pulled a goal back six minutes from time when Mouchon raced clear of Laia Codina and picked out the bottom corner with a composed finish.
But less than a minute later, Chloe Kelly played an excellent through ball to Blackstenius, who hammered home her second of the game to wrap up an emphatic victory.
