A look at the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Slavia Praha ahead of their Champions League meeting in Prague.
They now turn their attention back to the Champions League as they look to maintain their perfect record in the competition so far. Slavia have drawn two of their first three games in the competitions, while they are top of their domestic league. Here we round up the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Petr Sevcik - Out
Sevcik is expected to remain out with a knee injury here.
Tomas Holes - Out
Holes has a knee injury that will keep him out until after the international break.
Igoh Ogbu - Out
Ogbu has a muscular strain that will keep him out for a couple of weeks.
Dominik Javorcek - Out
Javorcek will be out until the middle of this month with a knee issue.
David Doudera - Out
Doudera will be out for a couple of weeks more with a muscular injury.
Viktor Gyokeres - Doubt
Arteta said after the Burnley game: “The first half was one of the best he's played with us. He felt something muscular, so we have to wait to learn the extent of that.” Given the quick turnaround, Gyokeres will be expected to miss this one, but he will go down as a doubt until confirmed otherwise.
Martin Zubimend - Out (Suspended)
Zubimendi will serve a one-game suspension here after picking up his third yellow card in the last Champions League game. He also has a small injury.
Gabriel Jesus - Out (Ineligible)
Jesus remains out and will likely remain out until the new year. Arteta said recently: “I would say weeks, and some of them pretty soon, hopefully, if they keep evolving the way they are doing. Difficult to put a game... We have an Int' break, and after that, I think we'll have some back. I don't know if it's going to be all of them, some of them, but we'll be quite close by then.” We have not included Jesus in the final count due to the fact he is not in Arsenal’s Champions League squad.
Martin Odegaard - Out
The same update was issued of Odegaard, but the Norwegian is expected back at the end of November or early December at the latest.
Kai Havertz - Out
Arteta has said: “It's very difficult, there's still a lot to do in his rehab. He's really pushing it. We know Kai, and that's why we love him so much, but we have to wait and see. He wants to break every timeline, I'm sure, but that's why we have to protect him and make sure that when he comes back, he comes back for the long term.” Havertz is likely to be back in late November, at a similar time to Odegaard.
Gabriel Martinelli - Out
Arteta said before the Burnley game: “Martinelli is still out. We don't know yet [how long], but this game comes too soon.” Given how quickly this one comes around, Martinelli will remain out here.
Noni Madueke - Out
Arteta has said: “He's getting closer as well. He’s going to start very soon to do some running and stuff, and then again, let’s see how that reacts.” A November return is likely.
