TBR Football understands that Arsenal and Tottenham have both been informed that Brazilian star Rodrygo is once again considering his future at Real Madrid.
Rodrygo was persuaded to stay in the Spanish capital by the club, with teammates such as Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe playing their part.
However, Rodrygo’s concerns over his squad status have proven valid, as he has started just two games all season, with the likes of Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler preferred by new head coach Xabi Alonso.

Alonso is happy to keep Rodrygo at the club but has little intention of changing his role within the squad. With Nico Paz likely to arrive in 2026 among other forward targets, sources have told TBR Football that Rodrygo is now accepting that his long-term future may lie away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Exclusive: Arsenal and Tottenham alerted to Rodrygo situation
Both Arsenal and Tottenham showed strong interest in the summer, and we can confirm that they have again been alerted to his possible availability in the New Year via intermediaries.
Several other clubs across Europe are also aware of the man who made a £40m move to Real Madrid’s potential availability, although it remains to be seen whether the Spanish club would consider a January deal.
Our chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, confirmed: “Rodrygo’s situation has not improved this season. As we reported in the summer, Xabi Alonso always planned on making Arda Guler one of his key figures, and that has played out as expected.

“With teen starlet Franco Mastantuono also getting regular game time, there is little sign of how Rodrygo can find a route back into the lineup.
“I am told that Rodrygo is again considering his options, and one possibility is a switch to the Premier League, which could become a real option in January. He is certainly one to watch as we approach the New Year.”
