Sky Sports: Free agent attacker currently training at Arsenal, played 198x for Gunners

English midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently training at Arsenal as he plots his next move, according to Sky Sports. The former Arsenal star is a free agent after Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas terminated his contract back in August. Oxlade-Chamberlain made 198 appearances for the Emirates Stadium club before leaving for Liverpool in the summer of 2017 after six seasons with the Gunners.

The 32-year-old has been training with the Arsenal under-21s, but manager Mikel Arteta could look to involve him with the first-team having done so with Tyreece John-Jules. The former Arsenal striker trained with the Gunners under-21s to maintain his fitness and was spotted training with the first-team before their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid last month. The 24-year-old was a free agent after he was released by Crawley Town in the summer but has since joined Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock on a short-term deal until January.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has had offers since becoming a free agent but he prefers to remain in England and will continue to look out for opportunities. His presence at Colney will be a blessing for the Arsenal youngsters as they can learn a thing or two from such a veteran attacker. The Gunners have done well to welcome him back and allow him use their facilities, and Oxlade-Chamberlain will be grateful for the opportunity.
