**Man City manager Pep Guardiola believes his team can close the gap on Arsenal despite the Gunners looking “unstoppable” at the moment.**
The 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend has moved the Cityzens up to 2nd in the Premier League table. While the Gunners still have a commanding lead, Guardiola is not ready to give up [**the title**](https://mancitynews.com/man-city-news-alan-pardew-premier-league-title-challenge/) quite yet:
“We are six points behind Arsenal, who look unstoppable right now because they play fantastic. They don’t concede goals, they are so solid, they can score from many different situations, positions and many players.”
“But even with that, I think when we make this step a little bit better (more players start scoring), we will be closer, games will be more tighter and we will be able to win.”
Man City are the league’s top scorers
-------------------------------------
Guardiola’s men have now scored 20 goals in 10 league matches this campaign. Erling Haaland has scored 13 of those, and Guardiola is clearly keen for others to step up to the plate as well.
Being overreliant on the Norwegian could cost City in the long run if he is forced to miss games for any reason, so ensuring his teammates are able to take on their fair share of the burden is critical.
What are the latest Premier League title odds?
----------------------------------------------
Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are red-hot favourites to win their first league title since 2004. The Gunners are priced between 4/9 and 2/5 at most bookmakers.
City, meanwhile, have odds of around 4/1 while reigning champions Liverpool have seen their price shorten slightly to 6/1 after they beat Aston Villa at the weekend.
We are only just over a quarter of the way through the season, so there is a lot that could still happen between now and May, but Guardiola seems confident that a title challenge is on the cards.
