David Raya’s toughest match came against Man United
Against Arsenal, United took a record-breaking 20 shots, the highest amount recorded since the iconic 8-2 victory in 2011.
Remarkably, Raya was able to keep United out and record a clean sheet at Old Trafford.
As per TNT Sports, Raya made seven saves against United in the season opener, but has only averaged one save per match ever since.

Raya has made a total of 16 saves this season, with seven of those coming at Old Trafford. Arsenal have only conceded three goals in 2025/26.
It proves that Raya’s toughest test of the season came against United, despite the Red Devils failing to score past the Spaniard.
Senne Lammens already close to David Raya’s saves
It was Altay Bayindir who started against Arsenal this season, with United still scouring the market at the time for new goalkeepers.
Eventually, United struck a deadline day deal for Senne Lammens, and the young Belgian has made an incredible start to his Premier League career.
Lammens remains unbeaten with United after starting the past four league matches.

Lammens kept a clean sheet on his debut, and was impressive against both Brighton and Liverpool. In just four appearances, he already has 12 saves made, ranking him just four behind Raya in the standings.
While that does showcase how impressive Lammens has been for United, it also shows that he is not being protected as well as Raya is at Arsenal.
