Arsenal star Leandro Trossard has been speaking about one of the teammates he enjoys playing alongside.

Arsenal star Leandro Trossard has been speaking about a Gunners teammate he has been impressed by in recent times. The Gunners are on an excellent run currently, winning each of their last nine games across all competitions to move six points clear at the top of the Premier League and to put together a perfect Champions League record.

Many have attributed Arsenal’s excellent form this season to their increased depth this season, with Arteta having strong options behind his starters, something he has not had in many positions over recent years.

One of the players many tipped to suffer as a result of that increased depth was Trossard, but the Belgian has so far played a key role, offering three goals and as many assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.

"I'm just happy with my contributions at the moment,” he said on Monday. “I think I'm in a good moment, everything is going well so I hope I can continue my form and also the form of the team.

"I think the last couple of years we've been challenging for the title as well and we all have the same mindset this season. We want to win and we know how hard it is but I think we're on the right track, and there's still a long way to go.

"We want to win, and that’s our thought before every game as well, that's our mindset, that's how we need to approach it. I'm loving life at Arsenal. I'm really happy to be here, it's such a great club. Obviously, we are in a really good moment and I hope I can win things with Arsenal."

Trossard was asked about his relationship with teammate Riccardo Calafiori, who has popped up in some big moments for Arsenal despite being a left-back. “He pops up everywhere, in the pockets, as a striker,” Trossard added. “He has scored some great goals already, so I think that unpredictability of his can hurt teams as well.

"I have a good relationship with him at the moment, so I know what he can do and where he can pop up in what position. Sometimes I can play a ball blind to him and I know he will be there."
