As expected, [Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/) had no problem taking down Tomas Rosicky’s Slavia Prague on Tuesday night in the Champions League, sweeping aside the underdogs from the Czech Republic 3-0.
But one of the biggest storylines was actually set by a substitute, as 15-year-old sensation Max Dowman came into the match for the final 20 minutes or so, and he actually made a pretty good impact with two fouls drawn and a dribble completed in another highly promising cameo appearance.
In fact, Dowman getting on the pitch set a Champions League record. Arsenal’s latest and greatest teenage sensation is now the youngest player to ever appear in a Champions League game at 15 years and 308 days old.
He’s the first 15-year-old to play in a Champions League match, too, as the previous youngster player was former Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko, who made his way onto the pitch at 16 years and 18 days old.
Dowman is the next big thing in world football, and everyone associated with Arsenal can clearly see how special he is. Big ups to Mikel Arteta for helping Dowman foster his talent with the first team and not holding him back one bit.
