Theo Walcott has been discussing the impact of Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori at Arsenal during what has been an impressive 2025/26 so far.
The Gunners have been in superb form of late, most recently beating Slavia Prague 3-0 in a Champions League fixture.
Bukayo Saka set a record during the clash, which Thierry Henry didn’t even manage during his time at the Emirates.

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta has praised Max Dowman after his Champions League debut.
They are just two of many forward and midfield players to earn plaudits this season, but Theo Walcott has decided to instead focus his attention on the Gunners’ defensive strengths.

Theo Walcott praises Arsenal full-backs
The North London outfit have not fallen to defeat in any competition since August 31 when they were bested by Liverpool.
During that time, one of their main strengths has been keeping teams out.
On that front, when speaking on the US Overlap, Walcott has claimed that people forget just how good Arsenal’s full-backs are.
He said: “But I just think Arsenal at this moment in time, it’s same story for them. And what I really like as well is the full-backs. I think everyone forgets about the full-backs, how good they are.”
Arsenal on track to break Premier League record
Alan Shearer has been impressed by Arsenal’s use of Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber in the Premier League this season.
Calafiori and Timber have featured in all 10 league matches this term, helping secure the best defensive record in the division.
Going into the latest round of action, the Gunners have shipped just three goals in the top-flight.
If they keep that form up, they will end 2025/26 with less than 12 goals conceded.
The current record for fewest goals conceded in a Premier League campaign belongs to Jose Mourinho’s 2004/05 Chelsea team, who let in just 15 en route to the league title.
