Voting is now open for our October Women’s Player of the Month award, which, as usual, will solely be decided by votes from our Gooners!
We picked up two wins last month and four players have been nominated for the monthly prize.

Mariona Caldentey
Mariona was at the heart of our victories in October. The midfielder played the full 90 against Benfica, having a big hand in the opening goal as her cross wasn't dealt with, allowing Beth Mead to find the net. Mariona's performance earned her the Player of the Match award in Lisbon.
Our No. 8 also scored a superb equaliser against Manchester City in a 3-2 defeat in the Women's Super League.
Kim Little
Captain Kim was ever-present in all four of our matches in October. Despite defeat against Lyon in our opening Champions League contest, there was a milestone to be marked for Kim, as she became our record appearance-maker in the Women’s Champions League.
It was her 78th game in the competition, overtaking Emma Byrne's record. Little marked her 79th by helping us beat Benfica 2-0 in Lisbon to get off the mark in this season's league phase.
Beth Mead
Beth netted her first goal of the season in October during our 2-0 victory over Benfica in the Women's Champions League. Our forward pounced on indecision in the box from our hosts to open the scoring and put us on the path to a first victory of the season in the competition we're defending.
Beth featured in all four of our matches last match, twice from the start and twice off the bench against Brighton and Manchester City in the Women's Super League.
Olivia Smith
Our summer signing has made it back-to-back nominations as the Canadian international settles in well to life in N5. Olivia helped us clinch a 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Emirates Stadium when her low effort deflected off Marisa Olislagers.
She then played 66 minutes in our 2-0 victory over Benfica in the Women's Champions League.
