With ten games played in the Premier League and four in the champions league, leaving the mighty Gunners top of both competitions. This is bringing an awful lot of media attention, with many pundits and media companies dubbing us the favourites for both. This to me, seems like insanity, the media do this to try and apply a specific narrative around the club, to put pressure on the players. However, I take it how it is. The labelling of Arsenal as favourites for the two main competitions demonstrates to me the strength and solidarity of not just the starting XI but the the strength of the whole squad. To answer the question in the tile, can Arsenal win it all? Yes they can. However, do I think it is likely, not particularly. Let me explain…
Firstly, it is a remarkable achievement for a side to win a significant accolade, let alone multiple. However, I do believe as a whole we have the best squad depth in Europe. It is extremely rare for a side to have a player of expected quality across all areas of the pitch, it is even more rare for a team to have two or more players in each position of expected quality across the pitch. Which I believe Arsenal have. Take the UCL game as an example. Arsenal are left in an extraordinary situation with three centre forwards at the club injured, all the fans left panicking, wondering who is going to fill the boots of Gykores, Havertz, Jesus. Up steps the make shift centre forward in Mikel Merino. The box to box Spanish midfielder stepped up having served as a central attacker for the Arsenal last year stepped up once more, scoring two goals for the Arsenal, securing them a 3-0 win over the Czech side. This is one of my reasons for Arsenal winning it all, the depth for the gunners across the pitch as an whole is simply mind blowing.

Another reason as to why I believe Arsenal do have the potential to win multiple trophies this season is due to the strength in defence. With ten games played and a minimal three goals conceded – on track to break the Chelsea 04/05 record of least conceded goals in a single season. Selecting our strongest back line seems pretty straight forward to me. It consists of David Raya in goal, Jurrein Timber at RB , two centre half’s being Gabriel and Saliba and the left back being Calafiori. Lets start with the goalkeeper. David Raya for me is the best shot stopper in the world. In front of him you have William Saliba and Gabriel. Hands down for me the best CB partnership in world football. The perfect balance and combination of what you want in a CB partnership. On one hand you have Gabriel who is to hot headed passionate and aggressive. However, on the other hand, we have Saliba who is more calm, more composed and more nonchalant, two complete opposites that perfectly attract. With these two playing with each other on a regular basis since the 2022/23 campaign where we first entered the title race, they have studied each others strengths and weaknesses and in the process of doing this, created the best partnership in the world. Timber seems to be the best in his position, with no one outside of PSG’s Hakimi coming close. His strength, discipline and aggression combined with his attacking qualities make him an ideal player for Arteta’s system. Calafiori is a one of a kind sort of fullback. He is very solid defensively yet has the versatility to make his way up the pitch in multiple different areas, these ranging from inverting into the centre of the park or even acting as a left winger. With the depth of having a second back four of MLS, Ben white, Hincapie and Mosquera. There seems to be no reason as to why Arsenal cannot keep up this extraordinary defensive record.
Overall, life is pretty good right now as an Arsenal fan. Being born in 2004, this is by the far the most skilled, organised and promising Arsenal side I have ever seen. However, do I think that Arsenal can win it all? yes I do but do I think they will? No. I do believe that Arsenal will win one if not two competitive trophies. If i had to put my finger on which ones, I would suggest it being the FA Cup (due to the clubs spectacular history in the cup) and the Premier League title. This is due to the knowledge we have gained over the years from being in the title race and learning from past experiences.
