Arsenal icon Cesc Fabregas is making a big impact as manager at Como.
The Spaniard has brought about a tactical revolution in Serie A. The Lombardy side are challenging for European qualification and find themselves seventh in the table.
Fabregas has spoken to RSI Sport about multiple topics relating to his playing and managerial careers.
He was asked about Arsenal and their form this season, and they try to finally get that Premier League title. The ex-Gunner believes Mikel Arteta’s side can challenge on all fronts.
Fabregas said, as relayed by Calciomercato: “I see a very well-prepared team to face many competitions this year. I see a very structured team, with experience and a lot of quality.
“They’ve strengthened really well. Odegaard is out now, but we have Eze, Mosquera in defence, Hincapié, and Calafiori, who is returning in good form. Little by little, I’m seeing a team that can make an impact.”

Fabregas also praised Arteta for using Mikel Merino as a forward.
“This is a great move by Mikel, putting Merino up front, who has done really well up front. They’re an exceptional team right now, let’s hope it can be a good year for them.”
The Como manager was also asked to compare the current Arsenal team to Arsene Wenger’s side. He made it clear the current Gunners’ side places more emphasis on defending.
“They’re a team that defends very well. This year they’ve made a leap in quality physically and have conceded three goals all season and zero in the Champions League: it says a lot about the solidity of this team.
“And then up front they have goals, they’re hungry, they have quality, they have talent. There are similar things, but perhaps Arsenal is more focused on being solid and going on the counterattack or scoring from set pieces.”
Arsenal are clearly showing signs of finally taking the last step towards the title this season.
There is an air of inevitability about them and the manner in which they keep clean-sheets and score from set-pieces. That hasn’t been seen for years now at the London giants.
