BK Hacken midfielder Silas Andersen has spoken out about the speculation suggesting he might be heading to Arsenal. The Gunners are currently enjoying a stellar first half of the season, sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League with a six-point lead.

Mikel Arteta's squad also boasts an unblemished record in the Champions League, having won all four of their initial matches without conceding a single goal.

This impressive start follows a summer of investment for Arsenal, with eight new players joining the ranks including Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Cristhian Mosquera, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Piero Hincapie, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Andersen is the latest name being bandied about as a potential addition to the Gunners' line-up when the January transfer window opens, reports football.london.

Recent rumours suggest that Arsenal have been scouting the 21-year-old midfielder, but it's still unclear whether they're planning to make a move come January.

In response to the swirling rumours, Andersen has addressed the possibility of him signing with Arsenal, though he remained rather elusive on the matter.

"I don't know. I'll let my agent work on it. I don't know much," Andersen was quoted as saying by Fotboll Skanalen.

When pressed further about the prospect of joining Arsenal, the midfielder admitted that such a move would indeed make him "happy".

"It's a big club. I would be happy," confessed the Denmark Under-20s international, who recently played for Hacken in a 2-1 loss to Strasbourg in the Conference League on Thursday night, before expressing his uncertainty about his future.

"There is a lot of interest," Andersen revealed when quizzed about other clubs potentially making a move in the future. "Now people have to make a move, but we'll see."

When questioned about a possible January transfer, Andersen responded: "I have no idea. That's something I need to talk to Martin (Ericsson, Hacken football director) and Erik (Friberg, Hacken sporting director) about."

Arsenal strengthened their midfield with the arrivals of Zubimendi and Norgaard during the summer transfer window, so it remains to be seen if they will look to target Andersen when the New Year rolls around.
