Sunderland vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League match stream, latest team news, lineups, TV, prediction

Sunderland vs Arsenal LIVE!

Arsenal are up on Wearside today as they look to keep their ninth consecutive clean sheet. Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland are the latest challengers to their title, but will have their work cut out for them if they are even to get on the scoresheet today. The last man to get the better of the red wall was Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade in late September - Sunderland will have to follow in the footsteps of their greatest rivals if they are to halt the Gunners’ remarkable streak.

They could be among the League’s top contenders to upset the run, though. They have flown up the table since earning promotion from the Championship in the summer, and started today sat fourth in the Premier League table - just seven points adrift of early leaders Arsenal.

Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka will be reunited with his former club in a competitive match for the first time since he moved away in 2023. To see how he fares, follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis from Simon Collings at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland team news: No Alderete

Sunderland did not suffer any fresh injuries in their 1-1 draw against Everton on Monday night. Therefore, manager Regis Le Bris could choose from the same squad for the visit of Arsenal.

Omar Alderete remains sidelined after missing the last two games, while Habib Diarra, who underwent groin surgery in September, is scheduled to return to action in before the end of the year.
