Taiwo Ogunlabi, better known as Ty from Arsenal Fan TV, was involved in an ugly altercation with a steward outside the Stadium of Light following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, with footage of the incident quickly going viral. The Gunners fan first earned online acclaim over a decade ago for his wildly optimistic predictions.
As has often been the case throughout AFTV’s history, the YouTube channel is no stranger to controversy, and there have been plenty of occasions where emotions have boiled over. Passion among those associated with the platform often runs high, and after Ty was provoked by a group of Black Cats supporters following Sunderland’s last-minute equaliser - which preserved their unbeaten home record - a steward forcibly held him back during tense scenes.
A late strike from Brian Brobbey earned the hosts a deserved point, ending Arsenal’s run of 12 hours of football without conceding a goal. Manchester City then took advantage of that slip-up by beating Liverpool 3-0 the following day, meaning just four points now separate Arsenal at the top of the Premier League from their biggest rivals in second place ahead of meetings with Tottenham and Chelsea across their next two games.
AFTV Star Ty Gripped By Steward Following Sunderland 2-2 Arsenal

The fear that the perennial English champions - having won six of the last eight Premier League titles on offer under Pep Guardiola - could soon catch up to the Gunners proved all too much for Ty over the weekend.
While some Arsenal supporters wrongly claimed Brobbey's last gasp goal shouldn't have stood for a high boot, it didn't take much encouragement from a set of Black Cat supporters to rattle the well-known AFTV regular, with a steward quickly intervening to grab Ty's collar and pushing him away from the scene. Watch the incident below:
It’s unclear what was said to provoke the Gunners supporter, as no official statement has been made following the incident. However, with another man appearing to step in and try to defuse the situation toward the end of the video, it seems everything was eventually brought under control.
Now, the international break pauses the title race just as it was heating up, with two weeks separating Mikel Arteta’s side from their next fixture - with Tottenham making the short trip to the Emirates Stadium. Should Arsenal secure a win and a clean sheet - something they've found concerningly easy to come by as of late - they’ll quickly move on from the draw at Sunderland, which marked the first time they had dropped points since September.
