Former Premier League and England midfielder Paul Scholes has picked who he thinks will win the league between Arsenal and Man City.
The Gunners have been at the top of the Premier League table ever since they overtook Liverpool in early October. Arsenal have won all but two of their games since mid-September, the latest being a 2-2 draw to Sunderland over the weekend.

It was a disappointing result for Mikel Arteta’s side heading into the international break, especially because rivals Manchester City produced a superb 3-0 win against Liverpool, to come within four points of the Gunners.
The results over the weekend left many believing that if anyone is to challenge Arsenal this season, it will be City rather than Liverpool, as Pep Guardiola’s side look back to their best. However, the Gunners remain the favourites to win the league due to their impressive defensive record, squad depth, and their four point lead.
Scholes thinks Man City will beat Arsenal to the title
Despite the universal belief that Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League, former Man United and England midfielder Paul Scholes thinks that the Gunners will yet again lose out to Guardiola’s side, as he predicts that Man City will win the title this year.
He said whilst on the Good, the Bad and the Football Podcast: “I’ve not been impressed by City that much, but yesterday (against Liverpool), I thought for the first time they’re going to be (challengers). I think they’re slightly still favourites ahead of Arsenal, because of what they’ve done.
“I know Arsenal are four points clear, but with the experience they’ve got and Arsenal haven’t. You have to put them (City) slightly ahead of them.”
The biggest issue that Scholes has highlighted is that Man City know how to win the league, and have several players and coaches who have recent experience of getting over the line, something that Arsenal don’t have. It is just going to be an even bigger achievement for Arsenal if they are to come away with the trophy at the end of the season.
