Arsenal are in advanced talks to appoint Napoli’s head of scouting Maurizio Micheli, according to BBC reporter Sami Mokbel.
Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta, who joined the club in April, is understood to have identified the 57-year-old Italian as an ideal addition to his recruitment team.
Talks over bringing Micheli to north London are ongoing, with a deal believed to be close to completion.
Micheli has previously worked within the scouting departments of several Italian clubs, including Bologna and Brescia.
