Arsenal could sign one of world football’s biggest stars for less than expected

[Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/) have one of the most complete squads in world football, as they have a historically great defense behind a strong midfield and an attack that was significantly upgraded with a true No. 9 in Viktor Gyokeres this past summer transfer window.

But if there’s one last need in the starting lineup holding Arsenal back from being THE best team in all of European football and the Champions League favorites, then it is the left wing position across from English superstar Bukayo Saka.

That’s why Arsenal have been after some very ambitious transfer targets on the left wing, with Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes being the dreamiest of them, if he were to finally throw in the towel and quit on Xabi Alonso.

However, Rodrygo isn’t the only big name left winger on Arsenal’s transfer radar. AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao, who once carried the Rossoneri to the league title as the Serie A MVP, has been disrespected for too long and may, like Rodrygo, finally call it quits on his beloved club.

Per a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal have been told that it will cost them only 75 million euros to sign Leao from Milan next summer. While 75 million euros is still quite a chunk of change, it is less than what Chelsea were reportedly quoted to sign Leao last summer, as Milan wanted 100 million euros from them.

A fee of 75 million euros for a former MVP and one of the most talented forwards in the world is a worthwhile gamble. Per Caught Offside, Leao could be open to being wooed by a Premier League club and the wages they could give him over Milan.

Leao is very inconsistent and a gamble, but, well, Gabriel Martinelli isn’t exactly consistent either, and he honestly has a fraction of the talent that Leao can bring to the table.
