Arsenal star quietly on track to return from injury sooner than expected

[Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/) are the best team in the Premier League right now, and if all goes to plan, Mikel Arteta could be running away with his first Premier League title and finally put the Gunners back on top of the English top flight after three straight years of coming second fiddle.

And Arsenal are doing it with no excuses despite facing a bevy of injuries at all levels of the field, but especially the attack. Having the best defense in the league has helped a lot, but Arsenal are currently weathering a fierce storm of attacking injuries.

All of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, and Viktor Gyokeres have missed significant time this season. In fact, Odegaard, Madueke, and Gyokeres are currently injured.

And even behind Gyokeres, the other talented strikers in the Arsenal squad, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, have also been injured for a long period of time. The good news is that Madueke and Gyokeres will be returning shortly.

Jesus is still a way’s off from returning, but in more good news, it sounds like the German international Havertz is on the precipice of playing his second game of the 2025/26 season for Arsenal.

Per a report from The Mirror’s John Cross, Havertz is stepping up his recovery, and he has now accelerated his return to the point where he could actually make an appearance for Arsenal within the next month.

That’s massive for Arsenal, because even though Havertz can be inconsistent, he is one of the most talented technical players in the team and as good as pretty much any Premier League forward when he gets hot.

A nice change of pace from the big bodied Gyokeres up top, Havertz has been out since August against rivals Manchester United with a knee injury. An elegant footballer, Havertz’s return will be an underrated boost to this talented Arsenal attack.
